Jess Housty is a Haíɫzaqv mother, writer and land-based educator living in the community of Bella Bella, B.C. She is the executive director of Qqs (Eyes) Projects Society, a Haíɫzaqv charitable non-profit focused on supporting youth and families to thrive through community and cultural programming.

About the presentation
Jess will speak about growing up on the lands and waters of Haíɫzaqv territory alongside parents who were passionate about justice and land-based learning. She will focus on the deep and reciprocal relationships within Haíɫzaqv territory and the plant and animal kin that enable the community to thrive. Download poster (PDF)
