Change Education Series | Women’s History Month
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Manulani Aluli Meyer, an internationally respected Native Hawaiian scholar, educator, and writer whose contributions to Indigenous epistemology invite us to reconsider how knowledge is understood, experienced, and shared. As part of the Change Education Series and in recognition of Women’s History Month, this special seminar will explore Dr. Meyer’s scholarship on Hawaiian epistemology, with particular attention to knowledge as relational and grounded in place. What does it mean to know? How are knowledge, place, and relationships connected? And how might different ways of knowing broaden our understanding of teaching, learning, and the purpose of higher education? These questions will provide a starting point for a moderated scholarly dialogue with Dr. Meyer. Rather than a traditional lecture, the gathering will unfold through conversation and shared inquiry, with opportunities for participants to contribute their own questions and perspectives.
Join us Monday, October 26, 2026, from 11:40 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. (Pacific Time) via Zoom.
