Interested in weaving more interactivity and multimedia into your course? In January 2027 the CTE will be offering a multi-session workshop providing an opportunity to develop practical skills in creating multimedia and interactive learning materials. Each session combines theoretical background with hands-on practice, so you’ll finish with actual examples of content you’ve made yourself. Whether you’re just starting to work with educational technology or want to build on existing skills, the workshop provides a structured approach to digital content creation.
The sessions cover learning and design theories that inform multimedia development, along with an exploration of how AI and other digital tools are influencing current practices in digital education. You’ll work with a variety of digital tools, learn to establish workflows that are sustainable, and develop methods for evaluating and improving your materials over time. An important focus throughout is creating content that meets accessibility standards and accommodates a variety of learning needs.
