Student Support

Here are some key services available to your students:

Academic Advising

For students who need support in program planning, graduation requirements or course planning, advisors are available by appointment. 

Accessibility Services

Addresses access issues between the learning environment and the functional impact of a disability resulting in approved academic accommodations. Instructors receive a Notification of Accommodation email for their student.

Centre for Student Success

The CSS offers learning support services for students including tutoring, workshops and skill development courses. 

Health and Counselling Services

HCS includes counselling, conflict resolution, general medical services and an Elder-in-Residence for Indigenous students. 

Indigenous Student Services

Indigenous Student Services directs services and support for students of First Nations, Inuit and Métis ancestry including: help with choosing courses and registering at Capilano University, contact with First Nations Band education officers and CapU instructors, advising on special programs, and advice and help with personal, health and school-based issues.

Support with Digital Technologies

Student Digital Ambassadors (SDAs) are students hired to provide technical support to students on university-supported educational technology. Their email address is actively monitored M-F and you can expect to receive a response within 2 business days to sda@capilanou.ca
