Teaching Triangles

Interested in observing and learning what other faculty do in the classroom? The Teaching Triangles Program provides faculty with an opportunity to gain new insight into their teaching through a non-evaluative process of reciprocal classroom observation and self-reflection. Three faculty members in each “teaching triangle” agree to visit each other’s classes over the course of a semester and then meet to discuss what they’ve learned from their observations and reflections. Teaching Triangles celebrates teaching excellence, builds rapport among faculty in different disciplines, and encourages reflection of teaching practice. Time commitment is approximately 8 hours over the course of the semester (1 hour orientation, 1 hour meeting with faculty in teaching triangle, 3 X 1.5 class visits, 1 hour wrap up and reflection).
