Faculty Learning Community – Teacher as Researcher

September 13, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Kick off: September 13, 2019 1:00 –3:00 pm FR402Are you interested in and excited about engaging in developing a research inquiry based on your students’ learning or your teaching?

Perhaps you developed a particular assignment or project or tried a new teaching approach that you would be interested in investigating. Together we will learn about the role of teacher as researcher, explore key articles on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and support each other as we move forward to develop a teaching and learning inquiry based on our teaching practices.

The FLC will be stimulating, collaborative, and fun! Meet colleagues from a variety of disciplines who share your interest in this topic! You will be guaranteed a positive learning environment, the opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues, and, not to be overlooked, some very good food!

The FLC will meet generally every second Friday for the first term and possibly every third Friday for the Spring semester.

Please email cte@capilanou.ca to register.
