What Past Participants Are Saying:
Very helpful for preparing for fall teaching
Having a supportive community for improving teaching effectiveness is something I really appreciate as an instructor. I feel like I have learned so much from CTE in the few years I have taught here (far more than I ever learned in grad school about teaching). I wish more faculty would take advantage of these resources.
Well, it was “fundamentals” as billed. So always good to see that your plans are firmly on track.
I thought the readings and the in-class stuff were really informative. The activities were thought provoking too, and it was nice to be able to apply them directly to a course I’m developing.
Clear, organized consistent roadmap. Purposeful, patient modelling by facilitators. Experiencing remote/ online learning myself made it possible to understand the importance of Backwards Design. Starting with Learning Outcomes has been key to helping me rethink and redesign my lessons.
I give it raves
The delivery was succinct and the content was practical — good theory/application balance.
In general it gave me a lot more confidence. I would gladly take the course again.
The best part was having regular assignments and readings that ensured I did the work and learnt by doing.
