Teach | Academic Integrity
Capilano University has a culture of integrity, ethical conduct, and intellectual and academic honesty and expects its students to uphold these values. Academic integrity is fundamental to the creation, transmission and acquisition of knowledge.
At CapU, academic integrity is:
- The responsibility of the VP Academic.
- Governed by the Academic Integrity Policy (S2017-05) and Academic Integrity Procedure (S2017-05-01)
- Supported by CapU stakeholders with resources and workshops: Library, Writing Centre, English Language Support, Centre for Student Success and the Centre for Teaching Excellence.

We can address our academic integrity values with a 3-pronged approach.
Capilano University is named after Chief Joe Capilano, an important leader of the Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh) Nation of the Coast Salish people. We respectfully acknowledge that our campuses are located on the unceded sovereign Indigenous Nations of Lil’wat, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm(Musqueam), Shíshálh (Sechelt), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh(Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh).
