The Capilano University Certificate in University Teaching and Learning provides a professional development framework for faculty to develop, reflect, and deliver effective learning experiences that are pedagogically informed and inclusive to diverse learners.
The Certificate consists of six workshops offering you the chance to increase your understanding of course design, assessment and evaluation, instructional skills to promote active learning, develop inclusive learning environments and relationships, utilize scholarly research about teaching and learning in your own practice, and reflect upon your teaching philosophy to develop a teaching portfolio for your own career development and advancement.
You can sign up to complete the six facilitated workshop series of the Certificate over as little at 11 months, decide to move at your own pace over a longer period, or even take the individual facilitated workshop series of interest to you without having to commit to completing the entire Certificate.

| This 3-day facilitated workshop series is an intensive, hands-on experience, where participants work in a supportive atmosphere, both individually and collaboratively, to create a new course or redesign an existing course. Participants will increase their understanding of learning-centered course design principles as they apply to courses in an iterative and dynamic process. |
