Alyssa Hamer (MASLIS, University of British Columbia 2017) is a settler-Canadian who is grateful to call the unceded territories of the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations on the North Shore home. With a background in library and archival studies, and experience in the non-profit, GLAM, and post-secondary sectors, Alyssa brings a passion for education, information, and access to her work. As a curriculum developer, Alyssa is driven to create classroom and online materials that are student-centered and build on learners’ existing knowledge. Alyssa is excited for this opportunity to support the expansion of Open Education practices across the University.
