Teaching Triangles is a low-commitment, non-evaluative program, which provides faculty with an opportunity to gain inspiration and new insights for their own teaching.
Three faculty members in each “teaching triangle” agree to visit each other’s classes over the course of a semester and then meet to discuss what they’ve learned from their observations and reflections. Teaching Triangles celebrates teaching excellence, builds rapport among faculty in different disciplines, and encourages reflection of teaching practice. The time commitment is approximately 8 hours over the course of the semester.
The kick-off event for fall is October 7, 11:00 am -12:00 pm in Zoom. Please mark your calendar.
Join a teaching triangle specifically for instructors, who teach online or mixed mode courses!
In Teaching Triangles – Online you will be in a triad with two other instructors, who teach online or mixed mode – usually from a different discipline. Each “teaching triangle” agrees to visit each other’s online classes during a week of your choice. After the visits, the triangle meets to discuss what they’ve learned from their observations. The purpose is learning, peers support and self-reflection (not evaluation).
