Brit is an educational developer and instructional designer with over 10 years of experience working with students and instructors at all levels of education. Her teaching experience ranges from tutoring in Kindergarten German Bilingual programs to developing, facilitating, and evaluating workshops as part of an Academic Staff Certificate in University Teaching and Learning.

In addition to degrees in German and Linguistics, she holds a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta, an MA in Educational Research, and a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences at the University of Calgary. Brit also holds a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning. Her research focuses on the teacher-student feedback process and how instructional design can enable instructors and students to overcome the barriers they typically face in giving and apply feedback effectively.

Outside of all things feedback and assessment, you can find Brit spending time with her young family, playing soccer, or knitting another blanket.
