This facilitated workshop series provides faculty with the background pedagogy on culturally relevant pedagogy and inclusiveness teaching practices to support all learners.

  • interrogate the practicalities of the three foundational tenants of CRP/CRsP in classroom practices (academic achievement, cultural competence, socio-political consciousness).
  • utilize the language of equity, diversity, positionality, intersectionality, inclusion, decolonization, indigenization, and pedagogy, in their own practice.
  • discuss and reflect upon case study/scenarios representative of common course/class challenges related to 1) Physical, Cognitive, and Perceived ability, 2) Gender, Sexuality, and Identity, 3) Race, Culture, and Language, and 4) Colonization, Decolonization, and Indigenization.
